In today’s get ready with me video I do my makeup for my 10-year high school reunion. I went with a grey smokey eye using the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette and a pop of bright pink on the lips. I also show you my outfit at the end of the video. I can’t get enough of this flowy, boho mini dress and over-the-knee boot combo!
My first monthly favorites of the year features what I have been loving from my recent hauls. Tarte’s tartelette palette is everything! Didn’t think I’d be into all matte looks until I tried its mix of neutrals and plums. The Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow palette makes me feel red carpet worthy. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve spotted this on celebrity makeup artists Instagram accounts before I broke down and made one my own. This tutorial was inspired by the makeup Jennifer Lopez wore to the Golden Globes this year. Her signature golden glow was paired with smoldering grey and purple eyes. It was so striking that I just had to try it on myself. Click here to get the look. Continue reading
New year, new me! That’s what we all say, right? I’m currently fighting my soda addiction by going cold turkey. It is day four and I feel like I need to scratch little tally marks on my desk or something for each day I go without a sip. I’m definitely going to need at least a little medal for this or something. Soda is one of my greatest vices, second only to my love for makeup, which fortunately can’t kill me. Anyway, I pretty much went off the deep end hauling ever since the holidays came around and there were tons of deals and new launches encouraging me to makeover my stash. Check out my video to see what I picked up. I am especially excited about my new Charlotte Tilbury makeup! I had been coveting one of the items for months on end and it turned out to be everything I wanted it to be. Gotta love those moments.

I caught a glimpse of Jennifer Lopez’s makeup at the Golden Globes and I was immediately inspired to create a smokey eye with my new Tartelette matte eye shadow palette. That woman can do no wrong! I knew I was doing a sexy themed video later that night so this look was perfect! As I mentioned in the tutorial, I saved a bunch of pictures of J. Lo’s look so I will be recreating it with this palette soon.
